There are two major statewide Tourism awards in Victoria;
-
Victorian Tourism Awards, and
-
HMAA Victorian Accommodation Awards for Excellence.
Victorian Tourism Awards
The Victorian Tourism Awards represent an industry framework for peer recognition which fosters a culture for business development, excellence and innovation. The Awards program is launched annually and is a submission and inspection based competition for tourism businesses, industry suppliers and individuals working in the tourism industry. The Awards Ceremony and marketing program provides the opportunity to publicly recognise and showcase the States finest tourism operators.
The 2010 Victorian Tourism Awards will celebrate and acknowledge tourism businesses and individuals that demonstrate outstanding achievements and success during the 2009/2010 financial year.
The 2010 program will be launched in early April 2010.
2010 Victorian Tourism Awards preparatory workshops
Tourism Alliance Victoria will once again be delivering on behalf of Tourism Victoria the preparatory workshops throughout Victoria. The workshops have been designed for all entrants to this year's awards and will provide a valuable step-by-step guide to completing the submission, including templates, helpful tips and important dates.
A judge and a mentor will attend the workshop to offer advice and to answer questions about submission writing and the application process. All entrants in this year's Awards are encouraged to attend.
